L. A. Raid

'I'm not a robber,' I say. 'I'm private detective.'
But next morning the newspapers say:
SAMUEL ARRESTED. IS PRIVATE DETECTIVE A BANKER ROBBER?
RAIDERS ESCAPE. PRIVATE DETECTIVE LOSES HIS JOB.

Today I read L. A. Raid, a Macmillan Readers, level 2 book. It was a story about a man named Lenny Samuel who is a private detective and robbers. He does not work for a company but works alone.
A sunny mornig in June. The way to a bank, he comes across a robber in a duck mask. Leter, a news says "$10 000 000 was stolen from the First City Bank on Sunset Boulevard this mornig. The raider escaped on a motorbike." He hears the news on th e radio. Next day, the telehone rings and wakes him up. It is from the president of the First City Bank. The president calls him to have him catch the robbers. So he makes effort. At last, however he can find them, they run away very fast from him on the motorbike. To arrest them he increases car's speed. At that time, polices comes. He thinks that they come for arresting them. But they come to Lenny. In fact, the polices come to Lenny for arresting. Because his car's speed offends against the law. As a result, he is arrested.

At the end, can he catch the robbers?
Can he be releaced?

Please try to read.
